From November 22, 1994 to September 20, 2002 there was a new company, a joint stock company ( AB ) "Nuklonas". In 1995 the company employed 250 people and produced goods worth 300,000 litas per month . This was almost 10% of the company's capacity. In addition to the usual chips, solar cells and voltage regulators for television remote controls were produced . "Nuklonas" had an order (production of voltage regulators ) from the USA worth 2 million Lt. In 1996 "Nuklonas" had its own holiday house "Atžalynas" (worth 1,145,833 Lt). On April 25, 1997 bankruptcy proceedings were opened in the Šiauliai District Court . In 1998 "Nuklonas" owed a total of Lt 30 million (EUR 9 million), of which Lt 7 million (EUR 2 million) to 1,700 employees. The company was dissolved in September 2002.

Various companies are now located in the former production facilities. The Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Šiauliai (chairs for economics, management and political science with around 700 students and 30 university professors) was housed in the administration building. The bank " Šiaulių bankas " sold the nine-storey building with a floor space of 4500 m² to the university.
