Respublika (Lithuanian newspaper)
Respublika is a daily newspaper in Lithuania . It has been published in Vilnius since September 16, 1989 . From 1989 to 1990 it was the daily newspaper of Sąjūdis (“Lithuanian Renewal Movement”), the political organization engaged in the peaceful struggle to regain national independence. Respublika has been an independent newspaper since 1990 . From 1991 to 1996 it was part of the TTL concern , from 1996 to 1998 the Respublika company and since 1998 it has been part of the UAB Respublikos leidiniai . published. Since 1991 there has also been a version in the Russian language .
