Nungua is a city in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana near the city of Accra on the road connecting Tema and Accra. The city is part of the Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal District and had a population of 67,699 in 2010. The town of Teshie with the old slave castle Fort Augustaborg and the white sandy beach Coco-Beach are also located near Nungua .

The inhabitants of Nungua mainly belong to the Ga population .
