Eldon L. Knuth

Eldon L. Knuth (born May 10, 1925 in Clayton , Clayton County , Iowa ) is an American aeronautical scientist and professor of aeronautics .

After completing his military service in the US Army , Knuth studied at the California Institute of Technology , where he received his doctorate in 1953 . From 1956 he was a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles . He is a member of the Clayton County Genealogical Society and is active in Mecklenburg genealogy . Knuth, himself a descendant of emigrated Mecklenburgers, did not visit Mecklenburg for the first time until 1975/76 and was made aware of the book Jürnjakob Swehn by the American drivers . Knuth was able to research the Swehn's true identity.
