Teshie

Teshie is a town east of Accra in the Greater Accra Region in Ghana . Teshie is considered a suburb of Accra and is located on the exit road from Accra to Tema . Near Teshie is Coco Beach with its white sandy beaches. Many people live here from fishing. Teshie is one of the centers of coffin art. Well-known coffin builders work here, who offer a wide range of customers' special requests. If you want to be buried here in a fish coffin, you get it as well as a small airplane and of course less unusual variants.

Fort Augustaborg was built in Teschie by the Danes in 1787. Between 1870 and 1957 Teshie and Fort Augustaborg were occupied by the British.

Today the National Officer Candidate Training School is located in Teshie and the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center (KAIPTC). Culturally, Teshie has become known for its drum school.
