Nunić is a hamlet belonging to the Croatian municipality of Kistanje in the Šibenik-Knin County . The census of 2001 showed that for Nunić a population of 105. Nunić is the only village of the municipality of Kistanje, which even before the Croatia war from 1991 to 1995 had a (Catholic-) Croatian population majority.

history

During the war, the majority of the younger people fled Nunić and did not return to the rural area. This made the place very old. According to estimates from the late 1990s, there were no more than 20 people under the age of 60 living in the village. There was no direct destruction in Nunić during the war, but the local school was subsequently closed.

economy

The town's main source of income is scanty state pensions and benefits. As a result, the residents are impoverished and some of them are still dependent on part-time farming in old age. Agriculture in the area consists primarily of viticulture .
