Nuria Oliver

Nuria Oliver (* 1970 in Alicante ) is a Spanish computer scientist . She is Chief Scientific Advisor at the Vodafone Institute and Chief Data Scientist at DataPop Alliance. Previously, she was Director of Data Science Research at Vodafone , Scientific Director at Telefónica and Researcher at Microsoft Research . She has a PhD from the Media Lab at MIT , and is an IEEE Fellow , ACM Fellow and a member of the Spanish Royal Academy of Engineering. She is one of the most cited computer scientists in Spain. Her research results have been cited in more than 13,700 publications. She is known for her work in computer modeling of human behavior, human-computer interaction, mobile computing and big data for social purposes.
