The Nye Islands ( English Nye Islands ) is a complex of two small islands existing group before the Budd Coast of the East Antarctic Wilkes Land . In the archipelago of the Windmill Islands , they are between the islands of Midgley Island and Pidgeon Island .

Aerial photos of both islands were taken during the US Operation Highjump (1946–1947) and Operation Windmill (1947–1948). However, they did not initially appear on the map material that was produced using these aerial photographs. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1963 after Harvey M. Nye, electrical engineer for the meteorological equipment at Wilkes Station in 1959.
