history
As station No. 1 in Ossling , Oßlinger Berg was a first-order station of the Royal Saxon Triangulation in the 1860s . For this reason, a surveying column ( Nagelsche column , named after August Nagel ) was erected on the summit .
Because of the quarry, the column was removed from its original location in 1993, renovated and re-erected a year later in the cemetery in Oßling.
