OBK (music group)
OBK is an electro-pop group from Barcelona ( Spain ) founded by Jordi Sánchez and Miguel Arjona. The two musicians were significantly influenced by groups such as Depeche Mode , Yazoo and Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark , which is also noticeable in their band name. So OBK stands for "Oberkorn (It's a Small Town)," the B-side of Depeche Mode single "The Meaning of Love". In 1991 they released their debut, Llámalo Sueño , on the Blanco y Negro Music label .
style
The style of the group can be assigned to the genre synthpop or electropop. In addition to songs of a strongly electronic style, the albums also contain ballads with a slightly classical character, such as Falsa moral . In their home country, the group's popularity rose significantly in 1996 with the release of the album Donde el corazón nos lleve . It was reinforced two years later with the compilation Singles 91-98 .
