OFK (Obschtinski futbolen Klub) Sliven 2000 ( Bulgarian Общински футболен кулб Сливен 2000 , or OFK Sliven for short) is a Bulgarian football club from Sliven . The former first division team is currently playing lower class, because in the 2012/13 season he was relegated from the second Bulgarian soccer league.

Sliven OFK 2000 was founded on February 29, 2000 after FK Sliven went bankrupt. FK Sliven was founded in 1914 as the first local football club in Sliven. Sliven had different names between 1914 and 1963, e.g. B. Asenowez, DNA, General Saimow, Mlada Gwardia etc.
After the club rose to the A Grupa in the 1963/63 season, it was named FK Sliven. Between 1963 and 1983, the club played mostly with placements in the league midfield in the A Grupa until they took third place in the A Grupa in 1983/84 and thus moved into the UEFA Cup. But they eliminated against FK Željezničar Sarajevo . The club had their greatest success so far in 1990, when they won the Bulgarian Cup against CSKA Sofia (2-0). The goals were scored by Valeri Valkov and Jordan Letschkow . As a result, they moved into the Cup winners' Cup, but were eliminated in the first round against Juventus Turin .
In the years that followed, all good players left the club and there was no more success. Sliven was relegated to the regional soccer league and was bankrupt in 2000. In 2000 the club was re-established and led by ex-player Jordan Letschkow. A short era of sporting success began: in 2005 Sliven rose to the second division and in 2008 they made the leap into the first division.
