The Baia Mare trolleybus is the trolleybus system of Baia Mare , the capital of the Romanian region of Maramureș .

It has existed since 1996 and initially consisted of a line (today 51) that crosses the city in an east-west direction. In 2006/07 there was an expansion west of the station into an industrial area. Since 2014 there has been another line (54), which branches off to the east of the train station and leads over the southern districts to the center. There it meets the trunk line again.

The originally ten Rocar trolleybuses from Romanian production have now been replaced by a total of twelve vehicles from the Winterthur trolleybus and the Bern trolleybus . There have also been eight new Solaris vehicles since 2014 .
