Obersteinbach is a district of the municipality of Rauhenebrach in the Lower Franconian district of Haßberge .
Geographical location
Obersteinbach is located north of Untersteinbach and east of Weilersbachtal in the municipality of Rauhenebrach. The Weilersbach and the Erlersbach flow through the village.
Biodiversity Path
The six kilometer long biodiversity path extends to the west of Obersteinbach. The circular route, built in 2016, offers seven stations and two information pavilions.
The diverse habitats of streams, wet meadows and forests are presented at the stations and the information pavilions. Various activities encourage young and old visitors to discover and experience playfully.
The biodiversity path is a joint project of the Bavarian State Forests , the municipality of Rauhenebrach and the Environmental Education Center (UBiZ) Oberschleichach and was funded by the Bavarian Forest Administration and the Steigerwald Nature Park .
