Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (Chad)

The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs ( High Council for Islamic Affairs; abbr. HCIA) in Chad is an independent non-governmental organization whose tasks include supervision of religious activities of all Muslims is one in Chad.

Its president is Sheikh Hussein Hasan Abakar , a member of Tidschani - Sufi order . This supervision includes the Arabic language and Koranic instruction, the coordination of the Hajj activities, the representation of Chad at international religious events and the supervision of the mosque sermons as well as proselytizing by Muslim groups.
