The main street is a street in Trier in the district Ehrang-Quint . It runs as an extension of Niederstraße from the intersection of Kyllstraße to the western end of the district and joins the B422 there .

The street is named after the former upper gate of the city of Ehrang, to which it led. The upper gate was demolished in 1845.

There are seven cultural monuments in the street , including the Catholic parish church of St. Peter . Most of the buildings on the street are town houses from the 18th and 19th centuries. Another demolished town house was located at Oberstrasse 9.
