Oberwiese (Waltrop)
Oberwiese is one of seven farmers in the town of Waltrop in the Recklinghausen district . Oberwiese is located northwest of the city center, bordering the city of Datteln (northwest) and Castrop-Rauxel (southwest). To the northeast lies the Waltrop farming community of Holthausen and to the southeast is the farming community of Leveringhausen .

Attractions
The Henrichenburg ship lift is located in the farming community of Oberweise. The Waltrop lock park is also located here .

One part of the Provinzialstraße belongs to Waltrop on one side, the other half is in the Datteln city area. The stretch of street belonging to Waltrop includes the houses on the southern side of the street. There are two place-name signs at the entrance to Recklinghausen. The left one in the direction of travel points to Waltrop, the right one to Datteln.
