For the infantry protection of the air force and the navy in the armed forces , these armed forces have formed their own units.
For this purpose, the object protection regiment was set up within the air force , previously the tasks were performed by the security squadrons , later object protection squadrons, and the object protection battalion. The tasks of the deployed soldiers are varied and cover the entire spectrum of the infantry . In 2014 NBC protection , ordnance disposal and air defense were outsourced to other units. The naval protection forces took over the infantry security on board at sea and on land in seaports for naval forces. Since 2014, the coastal operations company in the sea battalion has been reorganized from the marine security companies .
At the Luftwaffe, training is carried out by the Air Force Training Battalion , which was reorganized in 2012 from the existing regiments. The soldiers receive training in air force security in Germersheim and Roth . The training of the naval security took place analogously to the naval training battalions (MAusbBtl) in Glückstadt , Putlos and Seeth .
