The House of Obrenović ( Serbian Обреновићи Obrenovići ) ruled Serbia from 1815 to 1842 and 1858 to 1903.

It was founded by Miloš Obrenović after the end of the Second Serbian Uprising , after Russia had campaigned for the Serbian cause and the Ottoman Empire was forced to a negotiated solution. Obrenović was appointed Serbian prince under Turkish sovereignty and thus founder of the Principality of Serbia . The reign of the house ended when the last Serbian king, Aleksandar Obrenović, and his wife Draga Lunjevica were murdered by the secret organization Black Hand . The successor took over the house Karađorđević .
