Oder-Vistula-Dniester Canal

The Oder-Vistula-Dniester Canal was a planned canal construction project of Austria-Hungary , which did not get beyond the planning stage. The canal was supposed to connect the rivers Oder , Vistula and Dniester with an artificial waterway and in particular serve the industrialization of the economically underdeveloped provinces of Galicia and Bukovina . The construction of the canal was decided by the Austrian House of Representatives on June 1, 1901 through a bill.
