Odete Viegas (2020)

Odete da Silva Viegas (born July 2, 1966 ) is an East Timorese doctor with a doctorate , specializing in dermatology .

Viegas was General Director of the Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares HNGV (as of 2010/2013), the largest hospital in the country. In 2015 she became an alternate member of the National Medical Council. She is currently Director General for Health Services in the East Timor Ministry of Health .

As part of the COVID-19 pandemic , Viegas was appointed to the government's crisis team.
