The Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares HNGV ( German  National Hospital Guido Valadares , tetum Ospitál Nasionál Guido Valadares ) is the largest hospital in East Timor . It is located in the state capital Dili on the Avenida Dom Martinho Lopes in the Kuluhum Atas district ( Suco Culu Hun ). Until it was renamed on June 29, 2003 after East Timor's first deputy minister for labor and social affairs, Guido Valadares , it was called National Hospital Dili . The general director of the hospital is Endang Soares .

The hospital has 260 beds. There has been a hepatitis department here since 2014 . On March 26, 2020, work began on setting up an in-house pathological and microbiological laboratory to examine samples for COVID-19 . The Menzies School of Health Research, the Australian and UK governments covered the $ 350,000 cost. The World Health Organization (WHO) provided a PCR workstation (PCR hood) . Further material and know-how came from Australia. So far, samples have been flown to Australia and tested at the Royal Darwin Hospital .

The former health minister Maria do Céu Sarmento worked as a doctor at the HNGV from 1996 to 2006.
