Odontosida pusillus is a butterfly ( moth ) from the family of moth (Sphingidae).
features
The moths have a fore wing length of 19 to 20 millimeters. The body and forewings have a brownish-pink or gray base color with darker lines. The hind wings are pink-copper in color. The gray animals look similar to Temnora elegans , but differ in the pattern of the forewings and the body. Odontosida pusillus also has a dark spot on the tornus of the hind wings.
The caterpillars are green and have a grainy surface with fine white pimples. They have seven slanted green and white stripes on the sides. The spiracles are reddish. The anal horn is quite long, colored black and has white nubs.
Distribution and way of life
The species is only known from South Africa . Their caterpillars feed on species of the genus Hermannia .
