oesterreich.gv.at is an e-government application of the Austrian federal administration , which was published in March 2019. The application is available both online at the same internet address and as an app for various mobile operating systems. The application is technically supported by the Federal Computing Center and developed and supervised by the Federal Government by the Federal Ministry for Digitization and Business Location.

history

A central e-government application with the name oesterreich.gv.at for all official channels was announced for the first time in the government program of the federal government Kurz. In mid-December 2018, the National Council decided on the legal basis (including an amendment to the E-Government Act ) for the specific implementation of the application and some initial services. oesterreich.gv.at went into operation on March 19, 2019 and was also presented by the federal government on the same day.

Various e-government offerings had previously existed since the 1990s. With HELP.gv.at there was a comprehensive range of information about official channels in Austria, which was integrated directly into the new application. At the same time, there are still applications such as the legal information system , FinanzOnline , the corporate service portal or the portal of the social insurance agencies that have not been integrated directly into oesterreich.gv.at. In some cases (for example with the corporate service portal), however, a cross-platform search or registration is offered via oesterreich.gv.at and in the long term all these offers are to be merged with oesterreich.gv.at.

At the beginning of May 2019, the application was used by over 100,000 users.
