First organs

An organ in the St. Nikolai Church was mentioned as early as 1417 . A new instrument was built in 1502 and around 1658.

1727–1728 Georg Theodor Kloß from Weißenfels built a new organ with 32 registers. Johann Christian Angermann from Jüterbog created the prospectus. The organ was unplayable after a few years.

In 1737 a contract was signed with Joachim Wagner . Its new building was inaugurated in 1741. This also had 32 registers. At Pentecost 1908 the instrument was played for the last time, with 28 voices still working at the time.

Rühlmann organ from 1908

Wilhelm Rühlmann from Zörbig installed a new instrument in six weeks, which was inaugurated on July 19, 1908. This had 44 registers with three manuals. In 1929, the organ building company Sauer added a Rückpositiv with 5 voices, changed two registers and added a Vox humana 8 '. The suggestions came from Pastor Georg Kempff .

1960–1961 some registers in the sense of organ movement were replaced by neo-baroque ones by the Voit company from Rathenow. 1998–1999 the pneumatic action was restored.

Disposition 2010

In 2010 the organ had 50 sounding stops on three manuals and a pedal.
