General pharmacy
The General Pharmaceutical (formerly Offizin-pharmacy) is the branch of pharmacy that deals with the activities in a public pharmacy concerned, in particular in the development, manufacture, testing and delivery of drugs and information and advice about it. General pharmacy is one of the further training areas for pharmacists to obtain the professional title of specialist pharmacist .

The term “Offizin-Pharmazie” comes from Offizin , the work and sales area of a pharmacy.
This training focuses on cardiovascular diseases , pain and diseases of the rheumatic type , diseases of the respiratory tract, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, diseases of the skin, infectious diseases , diseases of the nervous system, cytostatics therapy and practice, the collection, evaluation and distribution of pharmaceuticals Information, communication training, problems with the testing of finished medicinal products, problems with the handling and storage of medicines by patients and caregivers, problems with the formulation of medicines, screening methods for examining body conditions and body fluids, interpretation of laboratory values , pharmacy, social - and contractual principles of the supply of aids, application and assessment of medical products (e.g. compression stockings, medical bandages, ...), special therapy directions (e.g. homeopathy) as well as management and work itsrecht.
In addition, at least one project work must be created as part of the training. Depending on the training regulations, technical discussions are also to be documented. Regular further trainees have to work as employees in a pharmacy that is qualified for further training. After passing the final examination, the pharmacist is entitled to use the professional title of specialist pharmacist for general pharmacy . This can also be combined with other additional terms, such as homeopathy and naturopathic treatments or nutritional advice.
