Ofra Jasmin Strauss (born August 22, 1960 in Nahariya ) is an Israeli entrepreneur .

Career

Strauss was born in Naharija as the daughter of Ella, a nurse from the former Yugoslavia , and Michael Strauss , the son of the company founder of the Strauss Group Ltd. She has two other siblings, Irit and Adi. She was interested in her parents' company from an early age. She graduated from Tel Aviv University in 1987 in the Faculty of Law . It was there that she met her first husband, Dan Lahat.

After graduating, she found her first job in the marketing department of the Estée Lauder Companies in New York City . After two years in 1989, she returned to Israel and joined the parental company, Strauss Group Ltd. in Petach Tikva . There she led several campaigns and subdivisions of the company. In 1996 she was also involved in the successful takeover and integration of the competitor “Elite” into the Strauss Group. The partnerships with Danone , PepsiCo , Haier , São Miguel and Virgin Group bear her signature. It was almost inevitable that, in 2001, she succeeded her father as CEO of the company listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange .

Strauss has four children and was married to Adi Keizman from 2005 to 2010 . Three children are from her first marriage to Dan Lahat.
