Ogólnokrajowa Spółdzielnia Turystyczna Gromada
The Ogólnokrajowa Spółdzielnia Turystyczna Gromada (German: Landes-Tourismus-Genossenschaft Gromada ) is an important cooperative- organized tourism group in Poland . It was founded in 1937 and today consists of a group of companies that operate 21 hotels in Poland, Germany and South Africa, among others. The company's headquarters are in Warsaw .
Tourism service provider
The organization was founded on February 10, 1937. With around 5000 hotel beds (as of 2008), it is the second largest hotel chain in Poland after Orbis / Accor .
The group is a tour operator and hotel operator. In the hotel sector, it mainly offers middle-class hotels in medium-sized cities and tourist regions. Gromada also operates three rest homes and three campsites on the Baltic Sea and in the Polish mountains . In addition, the group includes 26 own and 11 licensed travel agencies as well as around 300 travel agencies (including incoming agencies ). The company is a member of various national and international organizations, such as Polska Izba Turystyki (Polish Tourism Association), Polskie Zrzeszenie Hoteli (Polish Hotel Association), ASTA ( American Society of Travel Agents ), IATA and ICCA ( International Congress and Convention Association ). The group's managing director is Roman Budzyński.
The largest property of the group is a hotel and congress facility at Warsaw Airport, which was expanded in 2003.
