Oisquercq ( Dutch Oostkerk ) was a municipality in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant on the Sennette and was merged with the neighboring town of Tubize in 1971 . The postal code of Oisquercq is 1480.

From 1898 one of the first large electricity works in the country was located here. The Oisquercq stop on the Lembeek - Écaussinnes line was closed on June 3, 1984, and the post bus stop on August 31, 1992.

Surname

The parish name (1138 Auscechirca ) meant Church of the Aldtso or Church of the Odsa and changed over time to the current Dutch form Oostkerk (which roughly means Ostkirch ), from which the French Oisquercq developed.

Oisquercq was once part of the Duchy of Brabant and the city of La Hulpe .
