Okental
Okental is located near Hegensdorf , in the urban area of the city of Büren in the Paderborn district . It is made up of a few farmsteads in the valley of the same name, the Okental.
history
Historical place names developed from Achendahl, Ackendal, Okendal to Okental. In the years 1834 to 1850, four families from Hegensdorf, about 3 km away, settled in the Okental in order to escape the narrow location in their home village and at the same time to live closer to their fields. The villagers received electricity and water supplies in 1961 and 1962. The connection to the telephone network happened later. In 2012, 16 residents were recorded for the residential area.
