Octroisystem
The octro system is a term from the history of the stock corporation . Originally, the establishment of the stock corporation still required a public (sovereign) license . The license was granted through a state document ("oktroi"). That is why the justification method is called the octrois system. This gave the companies a public service character. The appearance of stock corporations was a meeting of the needs of the colonial economy of Europe .
The oldest joint-stock companies are the so-called companies :
- the British East India Company of 1599;
- the Dutch-East Indian company in 1602
- the French Compagnie des Indes occidentales from 1628.
