Life

Olaf Amblank received his state examination in human medicine in 1995 at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen. He received his doctorate in radiology from the Medical University of Lübeck and was fully licensed as a doctor. After working for the management consultancies Kienbaum Consultants International and McKinsey & Company , he is now an entrepreneur and real estate investor in Hamburg.

Services

During his time as a management consultant at McKinsey, he and his colleagues Anne Sliwka and Stephan Gutzeit developed the idea of ​​founding a humanistic university based on the Anglo-American model: the European College of Liberal Arts . The first Summer University took place on the campus in Berlin-Buch in July 2000, with lecturers and sponsors such as Norbert Walter and Gertrud Höhler . Already in the first year it received widespread international attention, including in Poland. From this private initiative, which the three founders had a decisive influence on until 2003, a state-recognized university in Berlin grew in 2011.
