Kienbaum Consultants International is a German personnel consultancy , management consultancy and communication consultancy. It was founded on October 15, 1945 by Gerhard Kienbaum . Today the company offers consulting services in the areas of executive search , human resource management, remuneration advice and management consulting.

General

Around 40 partners are involved in the Kienbaum Society. Kienbaum is a member of the Federal Association of German Management Consultants and was honored in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 in the consulting industry report by brand eins Wissen and Statista as “Best Consultant” for the consulting field of leadership, organization and personnel. In 2013, Kienbaum employed a total of 730 people in 36 offices in 21 countries with a turnover of 112 million euros. In 2018, according to the company, there were still 600 employees, 27 offices in 14 countries and sales of 90 million euros. In Germany, Kienbaum has offices in eleven cities, as well as in Europe, the USA, Latin America and Asia. The Kienbaum Partner Network also offers cooperation partners in Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Italy, Lebanon, Spain and Mexico.

history

The graduate engineer and war veteran Gerhard Kienbaum founded the management consultancy Kienbaum in 1945 at the age of 26. In the Oberbergisches Land he advised medium-sized companies on technical and commercial problems. The lawyer Kurt Groß joined the company as managing director in 1955 . In 1957, Kienbaum und Partner had offices in Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main and Düsseldorf with a total of 90 employees. The first international Kienbaum office opened in Vienna in 1958, and in 1971 Kienbaum set up a subsidiary in Brazil.

In 1978, personnel consulting was added to management consulting. Jochen Kienbaum , the son of the company founder, was appointed managing director with sole power of representation. In 1985, Gerhard Kienbaum transferred the chairmanship of the management of Kienbaum und Partner to his son.

With branches in Paris, Prague and Singapore, Kienbaum und Partner was renamed Kienbaum Consultants International in 1998. In 2016 Kienbaum moved from Gummersbach to Cologne.

In 2018 Fabian Kienbaum succeeded his father Jochen Kienbaum as managing director.

The Gerhard and Lore Kienbaum Foundation, founded in 1994, names the global analysis and promotion of Germany as a location and the improvement of the framework conditions for companies as its goal. According to the company, the focus is on promoting science, research and the next generation of scientists in the field of economics.

On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the company carried out a campaign in 2005 under the motto “Kienbaum coaches kids”, in which personnel experts advised around 2,500 students on choosing a career before they graduate from school.

The Kienbaum Sponsorship Award annually honors outstanding theses from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences / Campus Gummersbach in order to promote particularly talented young academics in the region.
