Olaf Arlinghaus

Olaf Arlinghaus (born February 24, 1967 in Münster ) is a German author of publications on various management topics. Since the summer semester 2003, Olaf Arlinghaus has been professor for general business administration, especially for international management at the Münster University of Applied Sciences . At the same time he works as a keynote speaker, consultant and coach and looks after companies and organizations in various industries.

Life

After studying business administration in Germany, Spain and Venezuela , the business graduate initially worked as a management consultant for Daimler-Benz Interservices (debis). He was then responsible for target group management at Raab Karcher Energyservices GmbH.

In autumn 1997 he took over the Finance & Controlling division as a member of the Management Board and later also the Business Development & Organization division at the listed software company Vectron Systems AG. Arlinghaus was responsible for the IPO of Vectron Systems AG and for M&A deals.

In the period from November 1997 to November 2002, Arlinghaus did his doctorate at the Westphalian Wilhelms University (WWU) at the Faculty of Science at the Institute for Cooperatives in the Latin America Department.

Arlinghaus has been Professor of General Business Administration since the 2003 summer semester, with a focus on international management at the Münster University of Applied Sciences. In addition, he supports companies and organizations in the areas of change management, motivation, restructuring, turnaround management and growth management.

Arlinghaus is also a member of the advisory and supervisory boards of various committees and technology companies. As the author of publications, he deals with various management topics.

The focus of his work as a professor for general business administration is international management, strategic management, corporate management, motivation and self-management, change management, restructuring, intercultural management, entrepreneurship, risk management, turnaround management as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Arlinghaus is a member of the selection committee of the EBP - European Business Program, an international business degree with a double degree and specialization in two foreign languages. He is also the coordinator of the German-Venezuelan university cooperation with the Universidad Metropolitana Caracas, Venezuela.

At the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ZevA) in Hanover, Arlinghaus is a reviewer for the accreditation of universities. He is also a member of the selection committee “German Students and German Graduates Abroad” at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Bonn. At the Science Council of the Federal Government and the governments of the federal states of Cologne, he works as an expert in questions of the content and structural development of universities.

Arlinghaus is also active as an advisory board member of the state initiative Move at the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia Düsseldorf / Münster.
