Olaf Hofmann

Olaf Hofmann (born July 26, 1956 in Birkenau im Odenwald ) is a German trade unionist of the former leather union and since January 1, 1994 managing director of the union support facility of the DGB trade unions GUV / faculty .

Career

Hofmann completed an apprenticeship as a measuring and control mechanic at the Carl Freudenberg company in Weinheim from 1972 to 1976 . He was a youth representative there. In 1977 he became a junior secretary at the leather union .

In 1978 he became secretary of the Kornwestheim district administration office and became its head in the same year. In 1983 he moved to the tariff department of the main board and became tariff secretary there. He is considered a specialist in work organization with a practical diploma from REFA and MTM. From 1992 to 1995 he was an honorary judge at the Federal Labor Court.

Recent Activity

Since January 1st, 1994 he has been the full-time managing director of the GUV / Faculty with headquarters in Ludwigsburg and, since January 1st, 2005 managing director of Werbe- und Schulungs GmbH, which deals with the distribution of fair Products. He also heads Fairbags GmbH.
