Olaf Levonen (born December 29, 1966 in Alfeld (Leine) ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Levonen has worked in various positions in the Hildesheim district administration since 1989 . During this time he studied economics, administration and law with the degrees Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy (Ph.D), Master of Laws (LL.M.), Master of Public Administration (MPA) and a business graduate as well as university economics .

Since 2011 he has been the first district councilor and thus full-time representative of the district administrator.

Olaf Levonen was elected full-time district administrator for the Hildesheim district in 2016 , succeeding Reiner Wegner .

Olaf Levonen is volunteer as President of the German Red Cross KV Hildesheim-Marienburg, President of the Board of Trustees of the Paul Feindt Foundation, Chairman of the Volksbund Dt. War Graves Commission KV HI Land and active in the Lions Club Hildesheim.

In addition, he was managing director of the SPD district parliamentary group in Hildesheim from 1999 to 2006 and managing director of Krankenhaus Alfeld GmbH from 2009 to 2016 and has been managing director of Paul Feindt Biotoppflege GmbH since 2019.
