Olaf Plotke

Olaf Plotke (* 1974 in Dortmund ) is a German non-fiction author and journalist .

Life

Plotke grew up in Kamen , where he worked as a freelancer for the weekly newspaper Stadtspiegel. Later he worked as an editor and editor-in-chief for regional newspapers in Kleve , Moers and Schwelm . Since 2009 he has been editor-in-chief of Gourmand Magazine, which is published by Edouard Cointreau and reports on the international wine and cookbook scene.

In 2006 he published the book "Culinary Dialog" together with the cook and pastry chef Kai Weidner. In 2007 he won the Gourmand World Cookbook Award as the “Second Best Food Literature Book in the World” with his second book, “Teller dishes or Gastrosophie mit dem Hammer” (together with Torben Klausa) .

His book “Classic and Modern Recipes from Sweden” (together with Kathrin Plotke and Evert Kornmayer ) was named “Best Scandinavian Cuisine Book in Germany” at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2010.

Olaf Plotke lives in Uedem .
