Olav Haukvik

Olav Haukvik (born June 26, 1928 in Sauherad , † February 22, 1992 ) was a Norwegian politician of the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap). From January 1978 to October 1979 he was his country's Minister of Industry.

Life

Haukvik graduated from law school in 1950 . He then worked as a secretary and advisor in the Norwegian Ministry of Transport until 1961 , before he worked there as an office manager until 1966. From 1967 to 1973 he was general manager.

In 1973 he took over the post as Fylkesmann of the then province of Telemark , which he stayed until 1976. He then became Fylkesrådmann , the provincial head of administration. On January 11, 1978 he was appointed Minister of Industry in the Nordli government . He held this office until October 8, 1979. He then returned to his post as head of administration.
