Old Man Luedecke , birth name Chris Luedecke (* in the 20th century in Toronto , Ontario , Canada ) is the stage name of a Canadian songwriter and banjo player .

Life

Luedecke is known for his interpretations and his own compositions in the field of folk music and alternative country music . He has worked with artists such as Christine Fellows , Kim Barlow and Dell Barber . His current home is Chester (Nova Scotia) , where he lives with his wife and their twin girls.

Luedecke's CD Proof of Love from 2008 won him the Canadian Juno Award in the Traditional Folk Solo Album of the Year category . His last album Tender Is the Night was recorded at The Butcher Shoppe in Nashville , Tennessee , USA .
