Old Scatness is a Shetland Islands historic site near Sumburgh Airport consisting of Medieval , Viking Age , Pictish , and Bronze Age remains. It was a settlement that had been in use for thousands of years, with new buildings added and old ones no longer in use. The brochure was discovered in 1975. Its construction time falls between 400 and 200 BC. Chr.

The site was first excavated during construction for the airport in the late 1970s. Since 1995, University of Bradford staff and students, professional archaeologists and local volunteers have been helping dig the site and catalog the finds.

The brochure is managed by the Shetland Amenity Trust.
