Dirceu Vegini

Dirceu Vegini (born April 14, 1952 in Massaranduba , Santa Catarina , Brazil ; † September 29, 2018 in Foz do Iguaçu , Paraná ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Foz do Iguaçu .

Life

Dirceu Vegini studied theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome from 1979 to 1982 and lived in the Brazilian Pontifical College of Pius . On January 21, 1984, he received the sacrament of ordination through the Bishop of Apucarana , Domingos Gabriel Wisniewski CM . After pastoral work, he was, among other things, director of Rádio Colorado and President of the Community Association for Communication and Culture of Colorado, in particular for Rádio Comunitária - Auxiliadora FM 104.9 .

On March 15, 2006 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Putia in Byzacena and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Curitiba . The bishop emeritus of Apucarana, Domingos Gabriel Wisniewski CM, donated him episcopal ordination on June 2nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Apucarana, Luiz Vicente Bernetti OAD , and the Archbishop of Curitiba, Moacyr José Vitti CSS . On October 20, 2010 Benedict XVI appointed him. to the Bishop of Foz do Iguaçu.
