Laurindo Guizzardi

Laurindo Guizzardi CS (born July 7, 1934 in Nova Bassano ) is the former bishop of Foz do Iguaçu .

Life

Laurindo Guizzardi joined the Congregation of the Missionaries of St. Charles Borromeo in and received on 20 December 1959, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Bagé on February 4, 1982 . With the death of Angelo Félix Mugnol just eight days later, he succeeded him as Bishop of Bagé. The Archbishop of Porto Alegre , João Cláudio Colling , donated him episcopal ordination on April 18 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Benedito Zorzi , Bishop of Caxias do Sul , and Jayme Henrique Chemello , Bishop of Pelotas .

On November 28, 2001 he was appointed bishop of Foz do Iguaçu . On October 20, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
