Jayme Henrique Chemello (born July 28, 1932 in São Marcos , State of Rio Grande do Sul ) is a Brazilian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Pelotas .

Life

Jayme Henrique Chemello was ordained a priest on December 6, 1958 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on February 11, 1969 auxiliary bishop in Pelotas and titular bishop of Bisica . The bishop of Pelotas, Antônio Zattera , ordained him episcopal on April 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Benedito Zorzi , Bishop of Caxias do Sul , and Angelo Félix Mugnol , Bishop of Bagé .

He was appointed Bishop of Pelotas on September 1, 1977, and was introduced to the office on November 4 of the same year. On July 1, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
