Gílio Felício

Gílio Felício (born November 11, 1949 in Sério , State of Rio Grande do Sul , Brazil ) is a Brazilian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Bagé .

Life

Gílio Felício was ordained a priest for the diocese of Santa Cruz do Sul on November 11, 1979 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in São Salvador da Bahia and titular bishop of Illiberi on January 21, 1998 . The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia, Lucas Moreira Neves OP , donated him episcopal ordination on May 3 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Aloísio Sinésio Bohn , Bishop of Santa Cruz do Sul, and José Maria Pires , Old Archbishop of Paraíba . As a motto he chose EVANGELIZAR A TODOS .

On December 11, 2002, he was appointed Bishop of Bagé and on March 9 of the next year he was appointed to the office.

Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on June 6, 2018.
