Luiz Vicente Bernetti

Luiz Vicente Bernetti OAD (born March 24, 1934 in Ponzano di Fermo , Italy ; † August 11, 2017 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) was an Italian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Apucarana in Brazil.

Life

Luiz Vicente Bernetti joined the order of the Augustinian Discalceates , made his profession on March 25, 1955, and was ordained a priest on June 1, 1958 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Palmas-Francisco Beltrão and titular bishop of Rufiniana on June 12, 1996 . The Bishop of Palmas-Francisco Beltrão, Agostinho José Sartori OFMCap, ordained him episcopal on August 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Lúcio Ignácio Baumgärtner , Bishop of Cascavel , and Clemente Isnard OSB, Bishop of Nova Friburgo .

On February 2, 2005, he was appointed Bishop of Apucarana by John Paul II. On July 8, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
