Oleksij Mychailowytsch Pawlenko (born January 2, 1977 in Uman , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian politician. Pavlenko was Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine from 2014 to April 2016 .

Life

Oleksij Pawlenko studied at the economics faculty of the Kiev-Mohyla Academy in Kiev and the Nyenrode University of Economics in Breukelen , Netherlands . Between 2006 and 2009 he was managing director of the company "Foxtrot" . He also ran one of the largest agricultural operations in Ukraine and is a partner in an investment fund.

On December 2, 2014, as a member of the Self-Help Party, he was appointed Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine in Yatsenyuk's second cabinet . At the end of January 2016, he planned to resign, but withdrew from it on February 2, 2016. On February 4, 2016, the self-help party announced that Pavlenko was no longer a member of the party. After a cabinet reshuffle on April 14, 2016, his term as minister ended.
