Olive Emil Weather

Olive Emil Wetter (* 1980 in Bern ) is a Swiss pianist, piano teacher and psychologist.

Life

He took his first piano lessons at the age of four and a half. In 1997 he began studying at the Bern University of the Arts , where he studied in the master class of Bruno Canino and graduated with a teaching and concert qualification diploma. During this time he enjoyed chamber music lessons from Jörg Ewald Dähler, among others . In 2003 he began studying psychology , psychopathology and English at the University of Zurich with Martin Dörrie, parallel to guest studies at the Hanover University of Music and Theater .

He has won prizes as a soloist and chamber musician at competitions in Bern , Zurich and Basel and has performed with Marc Kissóczy and Jürg Wyttenbach, among others . Among his chamber music partners are Bettina Sartorius of the Berlin Philharmonic and Paul Moser, former concertmaster of the Bern Symphony Orchestra . He promotes interdisciplinary collaboration in his own projects, for example with moderators such as Kurt Aeschbacher and Nina Havel .

Recordings

To date there have been five CD recordings; including a “ Winterreise ” and some first recordings of works by contemporary Swiss composers.
