Oliver Bayer
Oliver Bayer (born January 8, 1977 in Lahn ) is a German politician of the Pirate Party and information scientist . After the state elections in 2012, he was a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament for one legislative period .
Life
Oliver Bayer grew up in Bielefeld and graduated from high school in 1997. He studied geography , as well as information science and media studies at the University of Düsseldorf . In 2007 he obtained his master’s degree. Until 2012, Bayer worked in the area of corporate organization and data processing at the Association of German Engineers .
Political career
Between 2005 and 2008 he was a member of the small party Independent Candidates for Direct Democracy & Citizen-Friendly Solutions .
In 2009 Bayer became a member of the Pirate Party. Until December 2012, Bayer was the first chairman of the district association of the Pirate Party in Düsseldorf. In the state elections in 2012 , he moved into the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia at number 19 on the list. Bayer was chairman of the study commission on public transport . When his party left the state parliament, he lost his mandate in 2017.
Further activity
Bayer was temporarily editor-in-chief of the magazine "Windgeflüster", which works in the field of fantasy and role-playing games.
