Oliver Estavillo (born February 6, 1964 in Fulda ) is a German-American painter who predominantly addresses socially critical issues in his work.

Life

Oliver Estavillo was born in Fulda in 1964 as the son of an American and a German mother. Oliver Estavillo has lived and worked in Munich since 1986, and since 2006 exclusively as a freelance artist. In August 2017 Oliver Estavillo moved back to his hometown Fulda.

style

In his mostly large-format, technically very elaborate, detailed oil paintings, Oliver Estavillo shows the dullness, meanness and limitless greed of his unbridled contemporaries. His works combine realism, fantasy, criticism of the times and society as well as satirical and comic-like elements.
