Oliver Ortner

Oliver Ortner (born June 17, 1968 in Vienna ) is an Austrian TV and radio journalist. He is married.

During his school days, Ortner was a freelancer at Radio Vienna , where he initially worked as an editor and presenter for the school magazine “Tschif” and the student magazine “U8”. After a short period as assistant radio play director at Götz Fritsch , Ortner began his journalistic career in 1989 with the current service of Radio Vienna.

Ortner was with Radio Wien until 2004, for many years as a contribution designer and head of the service of Vienna today, but also as a presenter and head of the service of Radio Wien-Nachrichten. In 2000 he finally took over the management of the Radio Wien word desk and was thus responsible for all news and other word and magazine articles. In 2003 he became the person responsible for broadcasting for Vienna today , and Ortner was responsible for its relaunch and redesign .

In September 2004 Ortner switched to the domestic politics and chronicle editorial office of television ( Zeit in the picture ), in January 2005 he was one of the first Austrian journalists to report on the consequences of the tsunami in Sri Lanka .

From April 2007 to December 2009 Ortner is the program planner and head of the "ZiB 24" service (Monday to Friday, midnight, ORF1),

In December 2009, he switched to the Zeit im Bild team as head of duty (daily 7.30 p.m., ORF2)
