Oliver Andreas Lothar Bagaporo Pötschke (born February 13, 1987 in Berlin ) is a German - Filipino soccer player who currently plays for the German club VfB Concordia Britz as right winger. He played three times for the Philippines national soccer team in 2011 .

Life

Pötschke is the son of a German and a Filipino woman. Pötschke began his football career at Hertha BSC, where he played with Kevin-Prince and Jérôme Boateng . When he read on the sports website Spox.com that the Philippine national coach Michael Weiß was looking for players, he applied and was invited to a training camp. At a tournament in Taiwan he was then allowed to play in the national dress for the first time and played three games as a central defender. But since the coach could never be sure that as an amateur Pötschke would be at the same fitness level as the other players who were either professional in the domestic league or in Europe, he would have two weeks in advance for extra training sessions before the games had to go to the Philippines. His only chance to be a permanent international player would have been a move to the Philippine professional league. However, he refused.
